Missing DLL file

I recently upgraded from ME to XP Professional. Not none of the programs
work. I get a cannot find "rundll32.exe" message.

Another message I get is cannot find the exe file for the programs. They
were initially installed under C:\windows\program files.

I cannot reinstall XP. The CD just stops and will not reinitialize.

Help!!!
