Missing Disks and Reloading Windows

I had to do a reload of Windows on my laptop. I couldn't find the disks, and
used a copy of XP from another of my laptops. The registration process
caught this, and has made my copied version of Windows unworkable. I know
Microsoft does this to avoid piracy or theft, but I do have the serial
numbers for the original version on the lable under the laptop.

Does anyone know what my options are to get a fresh copy of Windows (it was
XP Professional 1) since I do have the original serial number? I hope the
policy does not require me to purchase a new copy of Windows - I already had
a legitimate version before I had to reload the OS.

Please help and thank you!!

Contact the Laptop OEM only they can resupply you with the correct install
CD for their hardware.
