Missing disk space

After having created a music CD, I deleted the wav files
from my partitoned hard disk as I have down before.
However the disk free space has not recovered, though the
files are gone. Any ideas?

Empty your recycle bin. Deleted files are move to recycle bin and then
deleted at a later date

Norton SystemWorks Protected Recycle bin. Keeps a list of important files
and stores these file elsewahere when deleted.

Probably the files went to the recycle bin. In that case they are
still on the drive taking up space until you empty the bin.
