After installing SP2, I'm missing my network card and my firewire card, the
ieee 1394 card doesn't respond anymore. The nic is a Belkin card with one of
those realtek chips you find on almost all cheap cards (8139 I think), the
firewire card has no brand and sports a VIA chip (which is marked L1582V). I
tried putting them in different slots which didn't help, funny thing is
though that the nic is still working (probably was in use when SP2 tried to
disable it). I removed SP2 in safe mode, but I still have the same problem.
I know SP2 doesn't all the hardware pre-SP2 XP Pro does, but after removing
I thought I would be able to enable them again (get them to show up in
device manager etc.)
Any help would be appreciated,
