missing desktop icons

i have to help someone with this missing icon thing. they no longer have
access to the internet. can i download the fix on line 195 of Kellys Korner
to my computer desktop, copy it to a cd and take it to their house? if i can
would i run it fron the cd or copy it to their desktop? would it show up on
their desktop if copied it there. it is either this or restore os and
software. thay have already removed virius but dont have icons, been using
task mgr. for over six months.

Add these to it and yes a CD will work just fine. Do you have a pen drive?

hi kelly thanks for what you do!!
pen drive?
i have both a 3.5 and a 2.5 hdd USB enclosure with drives in them. better
to use one of them? question what does lines 164 and 240 do. and also taskbar
plus. so i can tell these guys what i am doing to their computer.
