I had my PC set to GMT+2. Due to daylight saving in my country, I have forced
my PC to GMT+1 but the PC synchronized it back to GMT+2.
I looked it up in the XP Prof. help and noticed there should be a DayLight
Saving checkbox in the TimeZone tab.
In that tab on my PC the checkbox is missing.
Please assist. Thanks

If you are missing the Daylight savings time with the +2 GMT that you have
selected and you need it, simply check the other +2 GMTs that are listed.
Some of them have DST available and others don't. You don't have to see
your country listed, just the proper GMT offset and DST available.

How come some countries have the DayLight Saving checkbox enabled and some
don't ?
Is there a way to force 'my country' to allow this checkbox ?

Some countries do use Daylight Saving especially those near the Equator, and
so the option is not given...

This is all quite philosophical, my friend.
What I fail to understand is why at two different countries at the GMT+2
time zone, one has the DayLight Saving checkbox enabled and the other does
not.

I believe it has to do with the system settings. What I am looking for the
is the info as to how to have the correct configuration to have the checkbox
enabled to my country.

Well for example South Africa doesn't use DST so it makes no sense to offer
the option.

Which country are you in?

That is indeed the TimeZone I am in ( Israel ).
Houston (...) , I believe we have a found a bug.

Mac, thanks for sharing the fact that your system shows the same phenomena.
Any way to fix that ?
