Well, when did this start or has it always been like that. Often things
can be associated with an "Event" and that usually helps to diagnose the
problem.

A possible cause might be the video drivers, are they the latest from
the video card / computer manufacturer? I've seen drivers do similar
things in the past.

Does the cursor come back alright or does it go away until you reboot?

HI CHARLIE
My problem has always been from day "one" I'm not a great
user of the media centre, but the problem is very annoying. My drivers and
computer are fully up to date. Can you help?

ANDRE CHEERS IT WORKED! PROBLEM SOLVED.

If you have Mouse Pointer Trails enabled, try turning it off first before
accessing Media Center.

Right click desktop -> Personalize -> Mouse Pointers -> Pointer Options ->
Turn off "Display Pointer Trails"
