Windows 2000 Server with SP4 and all latest updates: When I click to go into control panel the computer will never display the icons. Any ideas. It says there are 21 objects. Many times I am not able to map a drive in explorer and then see what is there, but I can at the command prompt. Any ideas.

Try this:

Start | Run | regsvr32 webvw.dll | OK | OK

Start | Run | regsvr32 wshom.ocx | OK | OK

Any change?

That article doesn't really work. At least it never has for me. This is a scripting problem. Make sure your AV is off and all your scripting and ActiveX are enabled in IE properties.
