missing "common tasks"

hi all long time no see silly question but oh well, trying to back up
some files , so under help and support is says "under common tasks, click
back up files" well i cant find common tasks anywhere??? please help thanks

Control Panel>Display>Theme - set to XP
Control Panel>System>Advanced tab>Performance button (top one). Scroll
down to the bottom and put a checkmark in "Show Common Tasks" and the
last one which is for using the XP "look".

-- Open Folder Options in Control Panel:
-- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
-- Double-click Folder Options
-- On the General tab, under Tasks, click Show common tasks in folders.
