I used to be able to open contacts and click on the New Contact or New
Contact Group button but now both of these buttons are missing. How do I add
them back to the toolbar?

Thanks!

Start Windows Mail. Click on Tools, then Windows Contacts. Right click
in the empty space below the right side of the toolbar of the new Window,
then click on Customize This Folder, then the triangle, then Contacts, then
Apply, then OK, then close the Contacts window.

Open Contacts, then right-click in an empty area of the far right pane.
Select "Customize This Folder", then change the template type to Contacts.

I am having the same problem at txgirl 256 and
I have tried to follow your suggestion but still cannot get into the Customize This Folder to get the triangle. All I get is a message asking if I want Yahoo Toolbar, google or my web search. Help me please.

Are you right-clicking in that big empty white space on the right side of
the Contacts window?
