Missing boot.ini?

When I boot up my system now it says invalid boot.ini
file, now booting from c:\winnt. What's this about?

Thanks, Gregg

It means that the contents of c:\boot.ini is invalid . . .

Unhide c:\boot.ini, then use notepad.exe to place these
lines inside it:

1 [Boot Loader]
2 Timeout=3
3 Default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT
4 [Operating Systems]
5 multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000
Professional" /fastdetect

Remove the line numbers before saving the file.

Hard to say without seeing the text of boot.ini Probably missing the
'default=' line though.
