Missing Background tab

I'm missing the Background tab from the Display properties
applet. Can someone steer me to the registry entry to
repair the problem.

No such thing as a background tab. Do you mean the desktop tab?
 
I would like to see less dialog windows/applets and more
tabs. Maybe a tab finder tool. Might be able to find
things faster.

It does look strange with size of the window and only 5
tabs and then the open space. Makes ya think something
is missing. Most other windows they fill up the entire
top portion with tabs.
 
If the system is on a Windows 2000/2003 domain, you may
want to check with the administrator to determine if a
group policy has been implemented to block this tab.
