missing audio?

trying to capture video from a hitachi 8mm analog. Camera out put cord is
good (I have audio & video when connected to TV), but when I connect to video
capture device (HP Media Center PC) I get video, but no evidence of audio

Audio usually comes through the Line-In socket of the soundcard.

Hi, Did you ever figure this out? I have the same problem. I am connecting a
VCR to the front inputs (red, white, yellow) on the HP Media Center PC.
Video comes thru but no audio.

did you sort this out, I have the same problem with trying to import
camcorder footage, pictures but no audio?
