Mirror

I have installed Win 2k Server on a 30 GB Western Digital
IDE hard drive. I have a second drive which is identical.
Disk 0, the boot drive, is the Master on IDE channel 1.
Disk 1 is a slave on IDE channel 1. Both disks have been
configured as Dynamic Disks. The space on disk 1 is
unallocated. I want to create a mirror, but when I right
click on disk 0, the option to establish a mirror is not
available. What gives?

You need to partition and format the disk, then make it a
dynamic disk, then do the mirror. Must use NTFS for
dynamic disks.

Are you selecting the partition (or actually the volume, as partitions are
called volumes on a dynamic disk) and then right clicking?

Best regards
