I have written a template using excel 2000 but I have to run it on a machine
using Excel 97. Consequently I get a very annoying error message everytime I
save the file. How can I get rid of it?!

TIA

Sorry, thought it was obvious

message is:

"This file was created using a later version of MS Excel. If you save this
file using MS Excel 97 information created with features in the later
version may be lost."

There are no obvious problems, the template does everything I want it to on
both machines, it's just a little annoying to get the same message over and
over again.

Re-create(Save As) it in Excel 97.

You can then use it on both with no warnings.
