Minolta Dimage IV problem

I have a new Dimage IV running on a Pentium 4 3.2 with 1GB of RAM. I
have scanned about 30 slides thus far and all have the same problem.
There is purple/pink shading that overlays the image is the exact same
spot on every slide scan. The shading covers about 40% of the scanned
image. Konica/Minolta has not responded to my online support request
yet. Has anyone experienced this type of problem? Does my scanner
happen to be defective?

I have not seen that problem. Your scanner may be defective.

Have you done the Reset Scanner, Shift+Ctrl+I. Press all three keys at the
same time when the TWAIN interface in on screen.

I have found that the Phone support is better than the online support.

Thanks for the reply. I called Minolta and they asked me to send the
scanner to their technicans for repair.
