Minimized windows dissappear and do not display on taskbar

I am running WindowsXP Home edition on a Dell 4100. Recently my system has
stopped displaying any windows that are minimized. When I minimize any window
it dissappears. These 'minimized' windows show up in the task manager but are
NOT displayed as tabs on the taskbar on the desktop level. So the windows are
opened but I cannot acces them after minimizing unless I open the task
manager.

Does anyone know how this could suddenly happen. Did I click, or
double-click, something that I should not have? How do I restore this
fuction to its original state?

I'd like to see my minimized windows as tabs on the task bar again.

Any suggestions? Please e-mail me. No spam please.

Thanks,

Hi, I have tried using the script provided. When I run it, the minimized windows appear, my Start button and Quick Launch toolbar disappear and then, suddenly it reverts back to not displaying the minimized windows in the Task bar. Any ideas?
I am using: Windows XP Pro
