Minimized Icons in Task bar

In my previous version of XP Home, the minimized icons showing open programs
were about an inch wide. You could most often read the name of the program
that was minimized. Now my minimized program icons are about a quarter of an
inch wide and only contain one letter of the program. How do I get the
larger icons back?
