Minimize window

I am using Office 2004 for the Mac and for some reason the minimize window
option is disabled. When I type command-M nothing happens. One thing I
noticed is that in the top left corner of the document, where the red, amber,
and green dots reside; the amber dot appears grey. Curiously, by double
clicking on the top of the document highlights the amber dot, but it is still
not functional. This problem only exists in Word. It works fine with Excel
and PowerPoint. A screenshot of this can be found at:
