Mini DVD files

I have movies created with another camera on a mini DVD. Movie Maker won't
recognize it. Nero does. What do I need to do to make the video so Movie
Maker will recognize it? How else can I save it to my hard drive to make a
movie?

We have spent over an hour trying to figure out how to convert files in Nero
from a Mini DVD so that Movie Maker would recognize it. All I want to do is
edit the files and make a DVD. Thanks.
