Mini DV Camera!!!

I've got a Mini DV Sony DCR-PC8E, a XP Laptop and a Belkin Videobus Cable. I've had trouble finding the drivers for the Belkin Cable, but have found them... Anyway I try to copy film from the Camera to Moviemaker II but this message keeps on coming up {capturing profiles cannot be found}.
Can someone please help me???
 
Are you trying to capture digital video to an analog hardware device?

Firewire to firewire is the usual method of capturing digital video.
