Jeremy

I keep a spreadsheet open during 99% of my work day. From time to time ih
ave to open other spreadsheets. Every time close out the sheet that I was
looking at it creates 2 open files when I hit alt-tab. I use alt-tab
probably a thousand times a day, but when it gives me a choice of 2 excel
pages when only one is open, it is really aggrivating. is it possible to
turn this off?

I'm assuming that you have each Excel session in its own window, with one
window displaying the file you work in and the other containing either the
initial openingn workbook or null menu window.

Click TOOLS on the menu, click OPTIONS and if necessary, click the VIEW tab.
In the first row of check boxes, remove the check from WINDOWS IN TASKBAR
and click OK to exit.

This should resolve your problem.

Perfect.
Thanks
