Migration plan to Win2003

My domain is Win2000 AD SP4, Win2000SP2,Sp3, SP4 and WinXPSP1 clients.
SMS2.0Sp5, Macintosh clients (7.1 and OS10).

When migrating to Win2003 AD, have you seen complications out there ?
What would be the best roll-out plan in case the migration goes wrong ?
Obviously I will keep tape backups handy from my Win2000 AD, but if somebody
here has other ideas to assure the smooth transition to Win2003 and avoid
problems, please let me know.

I have done the Win2003 migration in the lab and I know the Win2003 and
domainprep and forest upgrade requirements already.
