Migration from 32 to 64 Bit Windows

What frustration using the Files and Transfers Utility. Obscure information
and difficult to find -

1. Why doesn't the utility allow the FastWiz file to be created from the
new 64 bit machine on any media but a FD? Fortunately with 3 new notebooks
to set-up we happened to have a USD FDD once I figured that out.

2. Why does the Fastwiz.exe file have to be created new each time from
machine to migrate to?

Adding to the problems was that for some reason the Windows XP disk provided
by me reseller HP/Compaq, did not work provide any content in the File
Transfer section. I know that is a HP/Compaq "being cheap" problem.

I have successfully done the migration, but I am curious as to the why's and
wherefore's.

Thanks
Bob

Actually it does. A USB memory stick will also work.
