I am currently looking at migrating some users in a Windows 2000 domain
from their current Windows 2000 desktop machines to new Windows XP Pro
machines and I am trying to work out the best way to migrate their
profile settings across to the new machines as I do not want to
manually recreate the user configurations if possible.
Initially I wondered if I could configure the user accounts to use
roaming profiles to copy the profile across on the user's first logon?
I have also had a quick look at MIcrosoft's USMT application but I am
not sure if either of these are workable solutions or if anyone can
suggest any better ways of doing things?
Thanks
