Migrating from Outlook XP English to Danish

L

LR

Hi

I have tried to use my PST file from an English Outlook 2002 in my Danish
Outlook 2002 SP3.
This gave a lot of duplicate folders (Contacts, Calendar,... not having
those names in the Danish version), but i think i have sorted this out now.
However i still have a few issues:

I can't use my Addressbook when writing emails (To:, Cc:). The addressbook
works ok when i open it.I remember that i sometimes after installations have
to go into the properties for the Contacts folder, and checkmark that the
folder shall be used as addressbook for emails. But this setting is grayed
out in the Danish folder (Kontaktpersoner).
Any solution to this problem?

I have got the old Email rules automatically (probably in the PST file). I
would like to delete all the rules and enter new ones. I just can't delete
them. The delete button is grayed out on all rules. Any ideas how to delete
those rules?

Hi

try to enter:
tools | accounts | add new catalog or addressbook | additional addressbook
and choose "Outlook personal addressbook" (hope, that it's proper name,
because I'm translating it from polish :) )

It helped me few times - I hope it will help you also

regards
Michal

Hi

Thanks for responding. Unfortunately i can't complete this above. I get the
errormessage at the end (translated from Danish):

"Configuration of this account you have added is not completed. The account
is probably not working correctly before it is configured again."

If i try it again i just get the same error. Nothing seems to be created at
all.

Hard to advice something remotely...
It looks, that installation is just corrupted.
I propose to check computer first (scandisk, antiviruses, sfc), and then
backup pst file and reinstall Outlook again...

About quesiton with rules - you can clear rules with outlook switch:
outlook /cleanrules

look here for other switches:
