Migrate user account Outlook 2002 to 2003

Hi. I'm having some trouble when installing office 2003 over a 2002
client. The 2002 (Outlook XP) client is a localised version, the 2003
client is a English version with MUI and SP1 slipstreamed. Somehow,
when deploying Outlook 2003, at first startup, it does show that it's
migrating user settings, however, it does not reconnect added
mailboxes. There just gone. Rules etc. are being migrated. Any advice
on how to get the added mailboxes to be added aswell to the new local
client aswell, or maybe any pointers on the migration from a localised
version of outlook (or office) to a non localised version..? Any help
would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Are you including mail profile settings in your deployment? If so, what?

Yes, i am. We're using transforms, created with the custom installation
wizard. In the MST, the option "migrate user settings" is turned on but
were not using an OPS file. the option "Modify profile" is turned on,
where an Exchange server connection is configured using %username% and
the exchange servername. Here, the option "Overwrite existing exchange
settings if an Exchange connection exists" is turned off.. Yet,
something goes wrong..

I just had another look on some clients and the problem doesn't seem
consistent.. Sometimes, mailboxed are added, sometimes, they aren't.

If you overwrite the existing Exchange connections, then you can expect to lose the additional mailbox settings. So, let's back up and find out more: Why are you overwriting the existing account settings?

The transform file is set to migrate current settings, or to setup a
new mail account if no local profile exists. So no settings are
overwrited. I think i just found out the cause of the p;rloblem, it
seems that when the language pack is deployed, something goed wrong
with the account migration settings. Howver, when the language pack is
deployes AFTER outlook has been start up once, there's no porblem. So
i'm goning to take a look at the language pack.. Thanks!
