midi file link problem

I need to add a MIDI sound file to a slide show I have to email out to
others. The slide show won't play the MID file for the people I send it to
since the link originates on my computer. How can I embed this MID file
within the PowerPoint file so that now matter whose computer it's on, they
can hear the sound?
I did try inserting it as an object (media clip) but that messes up the
animation of my presentation.

Midi files are always linked. Only WAVs can be embedded.
