Microtek i900 vs Epson 4870

Microtek has now released their i900. The price is similar to the Epson
4870. Has anyone seen a review of this scanner yet?

The scanner also comes bundled with Digital Ice Photo Print Technology.
Based on it's name I suspect it is not useable on negatives. Is that
correct?

Where do you see this announcement? I don't find any reference to it on the
US or Euro site. There was one back in November-ish without a release date,
but I don't seem to find anything at all now.

My discovery was through Vistek, a retailer in Toronto

Then I went to the Microtek website. I had to run a search on i900 to find
the specifications and press release.

Thanks for the link, Grant. The information used to be in plain sight on
the Microtek site. I guess they put it in the background after it after it
got delayed. Does Vistek actually have it in stock at this time? I thought
Microtek might finally do a roll out at the upcoming imaging conference and
trade show in California in May. On paper, it sure looks like it could give
the 4870 a run for its money.

The Vistek site simply says "add to cart". So I guess they have some in
stock.
