I've been having frequent Win2K lock-ups/freeze-ups. To best of my
knowledge, I'm virus-free via Ontrack (Trendmicro) and Symantic
(Norton). I'm spybot-free via Spybot Search & Destroy.
Yesterday, I just discovered and removed the PowerSearch Toolbar (more
Spyware, which I now understand was packaged with a Santa screensaver).
Computer has not had a freeze-up yet today. But I'm searching around for
other bad stuff.
I have a folder called MWASPI under C:\Documents and Settings. It also
shows up in Control Panel under "Add/Remove programs" as 'Microstaff
WINASPI'
My question is: What is it? Do I need it? Should I keep/delete it?
My system is Win2K 5.00.2195, Service Pack 4
Feel free to cc me c/o (e-mail address removed).
Also, pls advise if I should post this elsewhere.
