Microsoft word is GONE from my office folder under programs

I use Vista - the only way I can access word is to find and old word doc and
launch it and then close it - where did the "program" start up go and how do
I get it back?????

Ether repair Office, which should replace the shortcuts, or create a new
shortcut to winword.exe in the folder
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12
where 12 is the Word version - here 2007.
