hello. I have the microsoft word 2000 SR1 on Win XP. Since upgrading to
Windows XP whenever I open the application to write something I get this
message: "This document could not be registered. It will not be possible to
create links from other documents to this document." I was wondering if
anyone has any idea what this entails and what the remedy might be to fix
whatever that might be broken. Many thanks in advance.

Install the "Office 2000 Update: Service Pack 3 (SP3)":

I have downloaded and tried to install the "O2KSp3.exe" but I get: preparing
to install.....and comes back with: The update cannot be applied.
I am running Win XP sp2
I am sorry I don't know how to get to the address you placed there. It
opens up my outlook with no one to send it to. Is there a page that I can go
to like this one?
