Microsoft Windows Network : The local device name is already in use

I have just recently discovered this bug on one of our
2000 adv servers.

When saving data or collecting data from one of our
servers all is well for about 1 minute then this
happens...

An error occurred while reconnecting I: to \\Shaggy\Shared

Microsoft Windows Network : The local device name is
already in use.

This connection has not been restored.

Not only will it happen from any client I tried it with
the backup server and cannot access any shared resorce on
our main server, the only way I can access shared drives
is to reboot the main server but then it will happen
again.

Has anyone seen this before? anyone have any ideas? I am
stumped by this and the backups I have are the same.
