An error occurred while reconnecting to ... The local device name is already in use

Hi,
I have win2k server with SP3. This is domain name server, file server, use
active directory.
I have several win2k workstations with SP3.

All users have file server mapped to drive S:

Occasionally users get the following message while using file server
(independent of the workstation):

"An error occurred while reconnecting S: ..... Microsoft Windows Network:
The local device name is already in use. This connection has not been
restored."

I thought SP3 should fix this problem. Although this happens less after
installing SP3, the problem occurs once or twice a week.

Any ideas?
