hi,

I have a problem with my windows installer. It doesn't
want to install anything. it give's the error: "The
Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can
occur if you are running windows in safe mode, or if the
windows installer is not correctly installed. Contect you
support personnel for assistance."
I think it can be resolved by uninstalling windows
installer and then install it again. Now the tricky part.

How do I uninstall windows installer? Can anyone plz help
me?

that article "315353" does not help me, i use windows 2000
and the article is for windows xp. windows 2000 doesn't
have permissions in the registry.

do you have another solution?

Windows 2000 also also permissions on registry keys ... to access use
regedt32.
