Microsoft VM & Sun Java

Does Sun Java need Microsoft VM in order to run?

I had installed it a few times with no results until I
installed Microsoft VM. Now I have no problems.

Are these co-dependant or cna I get rid of the Sun Java &
continue using the MS VM?

Neither one is depenedent on the other.

Leaving both on your system won't cause problems as you can switch between
them, where required, using the Properties > Advanced settings in IE.
