Microsoft Visual Basic.net Deluxe Learning Edition

Hi Gang,
I saw this for sale online: Microsoft Visual Basic.NET Deluxe Learning
Edition Version 2003. I'm wondering is the CD that's bundled with the
learning edition just a digitized version of the book or is it an
interactive tutorial?

Even better... the CD comes with an actual version of Visual Basic .Net,
"Visual Basic .Net Standard Edition," that you can use for coding. It isn't
as full-featured as a $600 copy of Visual Studio Professional, but it's more
than adequate for getting started.

AFAIK it's a learning version of VB.NET, but I would ask the people in
the shop.

No, it's the Standard Edition of Visual Basic .NET 2003.

AFAIK, Microsoft no longer has a true "learning edition" of Visual Basic
(unlike VB6 and earlier) -- Standard Edition is comparable to the earlier
Learning Editions.

Hi Gang,
That's good to hear. Microsoft has really gotten reasonable for their
student pricing it will surely pay off by having a large skilled community
of Microsoft-based programmers. A student can get Visual Studio.NET 2003
Pro for only $100. Isn't that a bargain? Thanks for all the help guys.
