I have been having problems with my windows update
service with the installation of SP2, it goes through
downloading the update installing the update then turns
around a few minutes later and asks me to update windows
with the same update. I have tried restarting everytime,
I have tried using the website instead of the automatic
checker and this still gives no positive results, can
anyone help?

SP2 is not available via automatic updates or windows update yet. So it's
not sp2 your trying to install.
Try this:
Possible solutions:

1 - Delete or rename the folder c:\windows\system32\catroot2

Then do the updates again.



2 - Start/stop the auto-update service.

Start, control panel, administrative tools, services, right click automatic
updates, click stop. Right click again, click start.
