Microsoft Update "patch" now Windows Defender Update 1.14.1408.8..

...Every solution has failed with me (and there are numerous), this one gives
the last patch but the update is still not running...

Good update then !

Yes, the solution to auto-update is to uninstall (if it says you need to
disable first, just ignore), download the new full product and then get the
definitions. I do hope this doesn't become the new MS way to update
software... if was very time consuming
