microsoft update doesn't allow for updates?

I installed the microsoft update, it gave me three updates, i downloaded,
installed, and rebooted. Now, when i go to 'custom update' so i can
download some of the other patches, i get this:

The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are
trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem.

That's what happens when you rely on additional layer of code between
your OS and security patches. That additional layer just adds more
opportunities to break the patching process.

Take matters into you own hands, and cut out the middleman additional
layer of code:
