I join advanced on my own home and work machines. There's some chance of
confidentiality issues--PII or other confidential info being included in the
reporting done with advanced--so I don't normally make that choice on client
machines in a work setting.
Advanced is "better" for both Microsoft and the community as a whole--more
information about what is happening and the choices you are making gets
recorded and used. You may see some more prompts than you would otherwise,
though, depending on tools, options choices.
