Microsoft sidewinder precision racing wheel

Can anyone tell me if they have been able to get this wheel working
correctly with Vista?
I have tried but find that the left pedal does not map, so you are left with
no brakes.
What equivalent wheel would be recommended?

I had the sidewinder force feedback wheel for yrs but it did not like
Vista..Never a problem with the pedals but other little bugs...I went out
and paid the bucks for the Logitech G25 wheel and all I can say is Damn !!
this wheel is Awesome !!...Very easy to install and configure....I race a
lot of different games both new and old and the wheel is perfect in
all.......Just my 3 cents

Thanks for your response Drew, I will have to look at that wheel. I have to
say that it's a shame I can't use my wheel as I really like it. Time moves
on though!

Definitely time moves on....I always thought the sidewinder was the best and
was upset when Microsoft stopped making there wheels....But then I got the
G25.....If you have the money consider it you will not be sorry
