Microsoft Product Key

I have a 2 yr old Toshiba laptop that I registered immediately after
purchase. I remember having to put in the product key when I did that. Now
I am trying to use Power Point and it is asking me to enter it again. After
2 years, I cannot find my authenticity paper and have put the numbers/letters
in under the laptop where it says product key. My computer won't accept this
25 digit number with letters. Any suggestions?

Registration is optional.
Activation is not.

Not only that - activating your laptop and activating an office product have
no relation.

Your Windows XP OS Product key is likely stuck to the computer.
This has *no relation* to the powerpoint/MS Office product key you say is
being requested.

Your Office Product Key would have been elsewhere. Is Powerpoint the only
product not working? What did you do right before it begain asking? If
your other products are working - something like Magic Jellybean Keyfinder
or Belar Advisor may be able to pull your office product key off the machine
itself for you to enter.

You are confusing the Windows XP product key on the bottom of the laptop
with the Microsoft Office product key, the Office/PowerPoint product key is
not the same key.

Here are three utilities which will display your product keys, one of which
should not only show your Windows key but the MS Office (which Power Point
is part of) as well:
http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml
and: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html
and RockXP: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4138.html which has additional
