show up under add/remove programs.

It is part of OFFICE prior to OFFICE 2003, if you want to
use it or remove it, try an Office newsgroup.

This has nothing to do with SP2. It comes with MS Office. Go to
Add/Remove Programs and click Change/Remove for Office. You can
uninstall parts of Office there.

See Malke's reply.

MS PhotoEditor is a MS Office component and can be removed using the installer that comes
with MS Office. However, it consumes less than 2MB so removing it saves nothing.

If you want to use a *better* graphics editor such as Paint Shop Pro or Adobe PhotoShop, you
still can use them and you can have them become your default editor for the graphic file
formats you edit.

Basically, there is NO need to remove MS PhotoEditor.

Thanks for all the responses! I don't have MS Office installed-I have an
older version of MS Works which has MS Word. I wonder if an update to ms
word from the office update put in the photo editor. I'm going to try
Infranview for a viewer, I have heard good things about it.

Infranview is highly rated by digital photographers as well as; Paint Shop Pro, Adobe
PhotoShop and Adobe PhotoShop Elements.

I believe that MS Word must have had MS PhotoEditor as an option.

What happens if you go to My Compute and double click on the CD drive that
has the CD? Does it open? Can you right click on it and choose Explore?
If you can see files in Windows Explorer then copy the images.

Hey,if you have MS "Picture IT!--but not "Picture IT Express that came on
older Word Suites--send it to me. I have lost MS "Picture IT!" and can not
even buy it and need an inexpensive photo editor.
I deleted Picture It Express I think at Explore, Program Files, Common Files.
