Microsoft Paint

I use widows XP PRO and I use the program PAINT very much.
I have formatted and re-installed windows but the PAINT program that was
supposed to be installed together with it is not working properly.
I used to go to IMAGE\ATTRIBUTES and there expand the canvas background.
Either in pixels or inches or centimeters.

I can't do it now and the image remains as it is in the default size which
is a small 4.5X5.5 inches.

How to fix this matter?

"Stretch or Skew" would increase the size of the image. Attributes
would, as you say, increase the size of the background, but the image
would remain the same size with the enlarged canvas below and to the
right of it.
