In paint, is there a registry adjustment that i can make that will
paste a screenshot at 50% size, instead of the 100% that it defaults
to?

TIA

Not that I know of, but if you have Microsoft Office, you can resize and
crop images. In fact, you can do that with any number of applications that
may be freely availabe from the Internet. If you already have office
installed, chances are you already have an imaging tool that will do what
you want.

Unlikely (and the registry is not a magic wand you can wave over any
program for any adjustment). Look for a replacement program like Paint.NET

I understand about resizing and cropping, I'm just trying to find a
way to get it to save at 50% instead of the defaulted 100% without
having to go in and fix it prior to saving it. Thanks anyways.

Understood and if it's not possible i won't try it. I've used a
number of good quality 3rd party programs. The problem is, is that
I'm taking screen shots of text on an AS400 mainframe and believe it
or not, good old fashion PBRUSH from our good friends Microsoft is
giving me the best quality. Just looking for a shortcut as 100% paste
in an email is too big. Thanks anyway's.
