I am trying to export my contact list to floppy disk, however, when I open
the address book and click the FILE drop down menu, the Import and Export
links are greyed out so I cannot back up my contact list. Any ideas how to
fix this.

Also i cannot save message attachments, when I right click on the attachment
the preview page list comes up. Again, any ideas?

Here's an idea: ask in a newsgroup that has the word OUTLOOK in the
title. Please note THIS newsgroup lacks that word.

Did you solve this one as I am having exactly the same problem.
To Nobodyman - I tried using the Outlook newsgroup but the 'ask a question'
isn't working - no subject window appears.

Just open Outlook and use the File menu. Do not open the
addressbook (contacts) but use the file menu on the basic
program.

It is similar on both Outlook and Outlook Express.

WTF are you talkinb about? Newsgroups don't have a "ask a question"
button, function, or anything else. You just post your problem then
come back over the next few days and see what help is suggested.

Oh come on, you know very well these posters don't know they are using
the web interface for a newsgroup. Have a little tenderness and pity.
Think of the kittens. ;-)

Sue and JB: Since you are using the web interface, you may not realize
that this is really a newsgroup. You will get far more out of this
resource if you learn to use a newsreader. There are many good
newsreaders for Windows, but you can use Outlook Express since you
already have it. Here are some links to information about newsgroups:

Now, set yourself up with Outlook Express (Outlook doesn't have the
ability to read newsgroups but instead calls Outlook Express) and go to
the Outlook newsgroup microsoft.public.outlook.general.

Ah, but the OP is already using OE. Check his/her message headers and
you'll see that. They aren't using the CDO Web Interface.
