microsoft outlook

I am using outlook as part of the office xp professional suite 2002. I have
a hotmail account set up and have installed the latest version of connector.
I can send email using outlook but I am not receiving email in outlook, but I
am receiving email in hotmail. Can anyone advise me on this problem?
 
You are correct the 2002 version is not supported according to this microsoft
site. Given my lack of technical expertise, what do you recommend as my
options to solve my problem?
