Microsoft Outlook & Vista

I recently bought a nem machine pre-loaded with Vista. I have managed to
transfer all my files and install all my hardware with the exception of the
scanner. I Uninstalled Macafee having used Norton AV for the past 7 years.
I started getting an error message saying that a programme was trying to
access e-mail addresses and at first (until I had Plaxo up and running) I
allowed limited access. I resolved conflict between MS Security and Norton
but the error message still popped up. I simply denied access until the
message appeared with a thick black border and I could no longer use Outlook.
I have tried repairing and then reinstalling the whole Office Professional
suite: to no avail. I have found an alternative communicadtions manager but
I prefer Outlook.

Anybody have any suggestions?

It would help if we knew what version of Outlook and Office you are
talking about. I believe you need a Vista version of Outlook on Vista.

Turn off email scanning in Norton. My preference would be to uninstall
Norton and install a different AV.

Um, a "Vista version" of Outlook doesn't exist. Office 2000 and up will
work with Vista and, if I am not mistaken, so will Office 97.

Joseph, Hi
Outlook is Outlook 2002 (full version) contained in Microsoft XP
Professional V 2002.

I see in another post you are using Outlook 2002. There is a Vista
compatibility problem where this version of Outlook won't save the password
for your email accounts. This combined with Norton may be the cause of the
problem.

<WTH happened here? You're not peddling Linux. Surely, you could have
gotten Linux in there some kind of way. <g>>

Why, when either you or Frank will do it for me?
