I seem to be having tremendious problems with my emalier.
It seems 50/50 that I'm able to send any emails. When It
dosen't send an email, I get the Microsoft Outlook error
saying something in the area of, Sorry message unsent
from microsoft outlook. Would you like to report this
problem or not? I have no Idea what my emailer needs to
stop this from happing. I'm getting to the point where I
copy the entire message so that I can past it to the new
e-mail. Any subjestions?

Does the problem only happen when sending email to certain addresses
and/or domains? In other words, can you send successfully to
(e-mail address removed) and not to (e-mail address removed)? Or does it not seem to
matter who the recipient is? Does this happen randomly? If so, you may
be having hardware problems or your ISP is having problems. How are you
connecting to the Internet? Dialup modem or broadband? If broadband, is
your cable/dsl modem connected to your computer via usb or ethernet?
Who is your ISP? Have you called them to check on your connection?

Repost with some more details as suggested above for more help.

Malke,
It happens to me randomly. No matter who I send the
email to. My connection is DSL and I'm conected through
ethernet My ISP is DSL Extreme. And yes I have talk to
them about this problem and the other mix up I'm having
sending emails. I log on yo a website. And theres an icon
to write them an email. But the email that I send them
winds up in my outbox instead to the address it was
attended to. My Microsoft Outlook is ver. 2002.

OK, you have web-based email? You log on to a website and click on an
icon that says something like "Email"? If so, this isn't using Outlook.
It's rather hard to visualize exactly what's happening, but here's my
guess (and please correct me if I'm wrong):

You sometimes use the website Email to send emails and that's all fine.
Sometimes you write an email using Outlook and then it doesn't go. If
this is the case, it's because you haven't got Outlook set up properly
with the right pop3 and smtp settings from your ISP. I don't mean this
to be insulting - sometimes it's very hard to judge a poster's skill
level from what they've written.

Unless you can clarify things more, I think your best bet will be to
call a professional to come to your house and check things out. Very
often in cases like this someone actually looking at the machine will
quickly see the problem where it might be hard to discern the cause in
Usenet postings. Otherwise do post back with a really good description
of your setup.

Good luck,

Malke

Malke,
You have me wrong about web sites. What I mean to
say is this. I log onto a certain web site, then I notice
from reading an artical that you can contact this guy by
double clicking on his name or even his highlited email
address. Once I hav done that, My Outlook pops into
action. On the email that I'm sending to this guy through
my outlook, it has his email address written across to
whom it's going to. But every time I do this, outlook
dose not send it to the to the person in question. It
just send the email to my "Outbox" in outlook. Then I
have to open up the the "Outbox" find the message and
send it on to the person in question from my "Outbox" I
never had this problem before. I really don't know what
changed in my Outlook to do such a thing. And yes, I will
recheck my pop3 & smtp to see if everthing is on the up
and up. Thank you for your help

Ask in a group that has the word "OUTLOOK" in the title. This group
is for the XP OS. Bye bye now!
